I have been leading Onestop IT for 15 years now and like any journey it has its ups and downs. There is no doubt in my mind that running a business has become more complex. Looking at our own business and those of our clients we are seeing an increase in the number of moving parts involved in the customer lifecycle; we require and support more disparate systems from different venders, that all needs to integrate flawlessly. When you combine this with a blurring of the traditional organisation boundary we can see a perfect storm brewing for organisations and what they require their technology to deliver.
Lifelong learning, in my opinion, is the key to coping with the rate of change we are experiencing in business today. In fact, it is embedded in our culture with time and budget allocated to each Onestop IT team member every year to further develop their skills and understanding.
My leadership style at Onestop IT is heavily influenced by my own core values:

I am deeply concerned about the future, where we are going, how we get there, and the impact we have on all those we influence on our journey. I use those values when I work with clients. We want to know what you want to achieve, and we want to help you achieve it. Like the Sherpa’s on Everest, our job is to help you achieve your goal, climb to the top. It’s about your glory and your organisation’s success, not ours. It’s a very different conversation and relationship to “Can I buy a PC!”
